My First Sushi! by aunty loh

It has been quite a looooong time i bought the materials and I was sooo busy & lazy during weekend until i have NO TIME to make the Sushi. Since Monday is Public Holiday, so I have spent the free time to make the very 1st Sushi by myself.

Everybody know WHAT actually give me the strong intention and dedication to learn to make Sushi. HEHE. So, i need not to mention here once again lah   :P    Actually the hardest part in preparing Sushi is not on how you cook the topping / filling ingredients, but the method on how you mould the sushi rice into a ball or roll it into a tight roll.  Phew…It takes me long time in that.

Yeah. Finally this is my outcome.

This is the variety of Sushi only for Someone Special.

Let me Introduce each of the sushi that i have made.

This types of Sushi called Gunkan – Sushi. The sushi rice is shaped into a dumpling and wrap the roasted seaweed sheet around it. Then, add the rice dumpling with topping ingredients.

This is called Maki Sushi. The ingredients are arranged neatly in the center of Seaweed plus thin layer of sushi rice, then wrap bamboo mat and seaweed over the filling and roll into a tight roll. Here, i have put in some Omelette Roll, Tuna and Cucumber into it.

This is another Maki Sushi which include crab sticks and Japanese Cucumber.

This types of sushi called Nigiri Sushi. Sushi rice is mould into a ball and place the topping ingredient on it.

Omelette Nigiri is the toughest ingredient that i have prepared so far. It needs alot of technique on frying the omelette mixture, otherwise it would get Hangus very quickly.

This is Crabstick Nigiri Sushi.

This is the only very basic & simple sushi. Not bad already lah, don’t compare a sushi beginner like me to the Sushi King Sifu, it is better if you compare me to those who doesn’t know cooking, then you will get the positive impression on me instead of the negative one. HEHE. Luckily the sushi i made still can eat and do not cause any sickness or do not used to feed dog at the end. Gosh..the materials are so expensive! KNS. This is the reason why i didn’t prepared something like Salmon, Unagki, Prawn Egg Sushi bla bla bla. The ingredients are too too too expensive plus i doesn’t like to eat that kind of sushi.

HEHE. Yesterday i got some comment from my loyal eater fan, and out of my expectation, I GOT 7 OUT OF 10 MARKS! :shock: (compared to Jusco Sushi only lah, but if compared to Sushi King, i guess i only get 1 or 2 mark or even negative value?) Aww….i thought i will fail or ngam ngam pass only… HEHE. I am soo happy lah, very very happy lah and super extremely happy arh! Someone let me to hug?? :lol: Next time i must do a better Sushi.

i think for 1st cook is ok de..

but bout the taste mah… cant comment because cant taste ah..

so next we the sushi together ah..i got gadget to make sushi too..

so next time ask me too mah
