Sarawak Business Trip by aunty loh

This was my third times been to Sarawak for business purpose in the one year plus i worked with this company. Usually we travel there for 1 to 2 weeks. I remembered last time we always joke with Sarawakian classmate that their house must be built on the tree. In my mind set, Sarawak is a dumb dumb and ulu ulu place. However, after been to Sarawak for several times, i found that Sarawak is much more “maju” than what i am expected. The food is yummy, the building are tall, the air is fresh and i must emphasized that, Sarawakian is very friendly, nice and of course PRETTY. For every Sarawakian in my social circle, no one can be escape from the adjective of NICE. I am proud that one of my die hard super best friend and my future Brother in Law are also from Sarawak :D

Ok Ok..back to the topic of my business trip, usually me and my senior will go to some sarawak tourist attraction place walk walk, buy buy things and relax relax during weekend. In working days, we seldom will walk too far away from Hotel because of too late at night and also too dangerous for two pretty ladies walk on the street. (normally during outstation we have to work OT until night to rush for deadline).

I would like to share my schedule in Sarawak and some intresting places where we left our footprints.

As usual, we take taxi from Ipoh to KLIA and then take MAS flight to Sarawak. The journey in sky took us 1 and half hour to reach Sarawak with the speed of 830km/jam.

Once we reached Sarawak, we took taxi to Hotel. That day, we spotted 2 rainbows outside Kuching Airport.

After that we have a rest and take a nap in Hotel after whole day travel from 9pm to 4.30pm. Gosh..it is so tired to travel eventhough just sit all the way! We stayed in Holiday Inn Hotel which is located in town. It is much more convenient for us to seek for food at night because most of the restaurants are just in a walking distance from our hotel. This is our Hotel room.

Our hotel is near to Sarawak River. The night view outside the window sooo peaceful and impressive. Alot of Ang Moh with Bikini like to swim in this swimming pool. :P I am so regret that i didnt bring my swim suit here :(

When we walked out from Hotel, we can see a Kuching Town Trademark Cat. The city here is beautiful and yet peaceful.

At first we planned to go climb Gunung Gading during weekend to see the world biggest flower -> Rafflesia. However, after being informed that the flower is not available in this season, so we cancelled our trip. Since i do not has any planned, so i just followed my senior wherever she want to go. My senior took me to Sarawak Pertanak Market buy fish fish, prawn prawn & crab crab. (seafood here is damn cheap and fresh)

After that we  went to State Museum. This musuem is quite interesting compare to Ipoh Musuem. It include art gallery, animal musuem, culture musuem and some Sarawak History.

This is the bone of BIg Ikan Paus. I being scold by museum security guard after took this photo. T.T

Then, we went to a Dua Pek Gong Temple to pray pray. (we sure came here to pray for every trip) My senior told me that this temple already 100+ years old and very 灵. So, i have made few wishes and hope 大伯公 listen it and多多保佑保佑!

We used to have a walk at River Front no matter in day time or night time. A lots of couple, tourist, gang of friends or family like to hang out here especially during weekend.

Last trip we went to Bako National Parkfor jungle tracking. It is definately a nice place.

This is a Palace and a in-progress Parlimen located just opposite the Sarawak River.

Sarawak also has an Indian Street similiar like Ipoh. Alot of shops along this street which is selling various sourvenior, T-Shirt and some necessity instead of Indian items.

There is a wall written the famous story about the Mousedeer and the Cocordile. Still remember the story? It is quite Interesting.

Actually Sarawak still has alot of places waiting for us to explore. Since we do not have much time to travel, we only been to these few places. Hoping next trip will go for more interesting places such as fairy cave, crocodile farm, Orang Utan village, Gunung Gading etc other than Market =.=”"

Yeah! I am always so happy at the last day in Sarawak! Because i miss my family, dog, friends and hubby at Ipoh sooo much…sooo much…. :D This is the scene taken on the flight.

Hoping next trip go to Sarawak is not because of Business anymore but Honey Moon :P

Sweet and Sour Chicken Recipe by aunty loh

These few days i have a great time with unclechan. I must thanks him a lot for coming back to visit me although his assignment is not completed yet and need to be passed up on Monday. On the other hand, I felt sorry to him for unable to celebrate his birthday this year because I have been to Sarawak for business trip. In order to reduce my guiltiness, to express my thankfulness and to ganti back his Birthday disappointment, I have invited him for a lunch today before he go back to KL at 4pm.  I didn’t treat him any special or expensive meal in classy restaurant. In fact, i only spent less than RM10 for his lunch and the venue is at a low class Dining Room in my home :P This was his first time to try my terrible and horrible dishes.

Now, I am going to share the Hakka sweet and sour chicken recipe for those who are interested. I have learned this from mum since primary school and My mum recipe is obtained from my grandma. Sweet and Sour chicken is one of the top listed favorite food in my family, especially my eldest brother.

Ingredient needed:

2 drumstick

5 tablespoon sugar

1 tablespoon vinegar

2 tablespoon black sauce

4 dried chilli

Step:-

1. Clean the drumstick, removed its skin and fat and cut it into small pieces.

2. Add in sugar and vinegar into the chicken and stir well.

3. Add in Black Soy Sauce and mix it.

4. Add in Dried Chili Padi and marinate the chicken for 5 – 10 minutes. ( the longer of marinate time, better the taste)

5. After that, pour the marinated chicken into a pot and cooked it with extremely low fire.

6. Remember to stir the chicken off and on, because it is very easy to get Hangus.

7. When the chicken is completely cooked (about 35minutes), it is ready to serve. Dang Dang, this is Sweet and Sour Chicken!(Sad, the only picture taken is soo blur T.T)

Other than this sweet and sour chicken, i also served other dishes and beverage as well such as steamed egg, ABC Soup and my company product- Enchante alcohol beverage. I have used 2 hour to prepare this lunch and we only used 20 minutes to finish the food. I am so happy that Uncle Chan had finished 2 plates of rice and awarded me with 2 thumbs up  :D Hoping he doesn’t mind for this cheap cheap and so so home cook lunch la.

23/11/08 at 3pm, first time i cooked for my beloved.

How to achieve success by Xavier

Success is more than mere professional trainings, degrees, diplomas
and technical skills. The real success reaches your intrinsic worth,
the real you-YOUR PERSONALITY. Your personality gives direction to
your life and is very much a deciding factor for accomplishing
success.

Life is what you make it and & the task of improving ones
personality is a lifetime project involving the development of mind,
heart and soul. A person should be honest and impartial while
examining oneself. If he overlooks his shortcomings, he will wallow
in them while successful people believe in overcoming them.

Instead of simply posing a straight approval to what one sees, hears
and reads without analyzing it, one should do his own thinking by
activating his dormant powers. One should challenge his fears. One
needs to be alert to opportunities and never stop striving to
improve oneself. Dissatisfaction is an encouraging sign. One can
make his personality felt by being receptive and never being
contented with the thoughts he is thinking and the deeds he is doing.

Good voice, with certainty is an asset. Voice reveals ones
personality and the speech gives out ones character. Words have the
power to humble all manifestations. The art of conversation can be
developed by being constructive and by being an alive witness to
what is happening around you.

One of the vital ingredients of a likeable personality is courtesy.
Its a well proportioned mixture of tolerance, kindness,
thoughtfulness, respectfulness and a considerate behavior.
Perseverance, too , equipped with poise brings success. To accomplish
anything, one should be persistent, optimistic and should learn self
reliance.A NEVER DIE ATTITUDE is what makes one immune to the
defeats. Defeats are not really defeats when people possess poise.
When we accept all the happiness showered by God with full grace and
rejoice, one should also accept the troubles and moments of grief
impartially without wailing and blaming destiny for it.People who do
so accept life fully and never waste their time and energy in fret
and fume. They are never at loss and inspire confidence.

Last, but not the least, a good character adds stars to ones
personality. Its a sum total of ones distinctive and moral qualities
which may include sincerity, honesty, reliability, tolerance and
generosity. One should never let his ethics suffer to attain success
as the charm is all ruined and success is but a mechanical event.

All these qualities along with a neat appearance makes one a winning
personality, a person who is able to carry out successful personal
and professional relationships. When the best is given, the best
comes back to you.
