These few days i have a great time with unclechan. I must thanks him a lot for coming back to visit me although his assignment is not completed yet and need to be passed up on Monday. On the other hand, I felt sorry to him for unable to celebrate his birthday this year because I have been to Sarawak for business trip. In order to reduce my guiltiness, to express my thankfulness and to ganti back his Birthday disappointment, I have invited him for a lunch today before he go back to KL at 4pm. I didn’t treat him any special or expensive meal in classy restaurant. In fact, i only spent less than RM10 for his lunch and the venue is at a low class Dining Room in my home This was his first time to try my terrible and horrible dishes.

Now, I am going to share the Hakka sweet and sour chicken recipe for those who are interested. I have learned this from mum since primary school and My mum recipe is obtained from my grandma. Sweet and Sour chicken is one of the top listed favorite food in my family, especially my eldest brother.

Ingredient needed:

2 drumstick

5 tablespoon sugar

1 tablespoon vinegar

2 tablespoon black sauce

4 dried chilli

Step:-

1. Clean the drumstick, removed its skin and fat and cut it into small pieces.

2. Add in sugar and vinegar into the chicken and stir well.

3. Add in Black Soy Sauce and mix it.

4. Add in Dried Chili Padi and marinate the chicken for 5 – 10 minutes. ( the longer of marinate time, better the taste)

5. After that, pour the marinated chicken into a pot and cooked it with extremely low fire.

6. Remember to stir the chicken off and on, because it is very easy to get Hangus.

7. When the chicken is completely cooked (about 35minutes), it is ready to serve. Dang Dang, this is Sweet and Sour Chicken!(Sad, the only picture taken is soo blur T.T)

Other than this sweet and sour chicken, i also served other dishes and beverage as well such as steamed egg, ABC Soup and my company product- Enchante alcohol beverage. I have used 2 hour to prepare this lunch and we only used 20 minutes to finish the food. I am so happy that Uncle Chan had finished 2 plates of rice and awarded me with 2 thumbs up Hoping he doesn’t mind for this cheap cheap and so so home cook lunch la.

ABC Soup and Steamed egg with Filamen Stick

Let cheers for our 23th Birthday at November’08. May all of our dreams come true and happy ever after

Not everyone eat Petai because of its bad smell, but for people who like it, they say Petai “Yummy!”. It is the same like why western people doesn’t like Durian while Asian People can’t live without it. Not to say so far away, my home already have a very good example to show the difference. My eldest and youngest brother hate Durian and Petai very much, while we love it very much.Keke. There were few times my mother offers RM50 for each of them to eat a piece of Durian or Petai, but, they just refuse it without any hesitation. They said, it just like people eat “shit”. Haha.

Actually Petai is very healthy for us. Some research showed that Petai contain a type of Protein that known to make you relax, improve your mood and generally make you feel happier! It also stimulate the production of hemoglobin in blood, reduce the blood pressure & stroke, boost brain power, overcome constipation, relief heatrburn etc. It also can be used externally. Before reaching for insect bite cream, try rubbing the affected area with the inside of petai skin. Many people find it amazingly successful at reducing swelling, irritation and itchiness.

When compare it to an apple, it has 4x protein, 2x carbohydrates, 5x vitamin A & iron, 3x Phosphorus and 2x others vitamins & Minerals. Since Petai is so healthy and help us to prevent substainal number of illness, so, for those who doesn’t like Petai must have a try on it and make it a MUST to add in our daily diet.

“A Petai A Day, Keeps the Doctor Away”

Petai taste best if cooked in sambal. Lets me share the Sambal Petai recipe to you all.

Yeah..i am finally come back to my home sweet home after 8 days working at Kuching, Sarawak. Today, my flight depart on 11am and landing on Peninsular Malaysia around 12.45pm. Then, go shopping at duty zone in KLIA, bought some chocolates and finally took taxi back Ipoh at 1.45pm. After a long journey, eventually, i reached home at 5pm. Then, have a sequence of rubbish talk with unclechan in phone. After that, i begin to show my KUNGFU at kitchen. Ngek Ngek Ngek. I’m thinking to surprise Mum and Dad with a table of delicious dishes for dinner when they come back from work. Ngek Ngek Ngek..

Since I have bought some aunty stuff from Satok Market (a famous Sunday Market at Sarawak) such as 1kilo raw kolok mee, salted fish and petai. KEKE. So, i am going to cook my dinner tonight with the raw materials which I “xin xin ku ku” bought from the other land separated with South China Sea.

Have u ever ate Kolok Mee before? In fact, this mee only can be found in Sarawak, but, unclechan just told me that Kl also sold that kind of mee. =.=. Whatever lah, Sarawak Kolok Mee is the most original 1. I have learned some recipe from colleague at Sarawak and this is my very 1st time to cook this Kolok Mee. HUH, can u believe, it is as delicious as i eat at Sarawak..my parent rate me 7 stars?! keke.

Ingredient needed:-

5 onions.

300g pork

Soya sauce

Cooking Oil

Sarawak Pepper Powder

600g Kolok Mee

1. Cut the onions into slice.

2. Chopped the pork into small pieces, loosen the kolok mee and put it aside.

3. After preparation of all the ingredients, add in some cooking oil into wok. When cooking oil is hot enough, add in the onions and fried it until golden colour, then, put it in a bowl aside.

5. Pour in some cooking oil into wok again, wait until it is hot enough then add in the meat. Fry it until golden colour, add in a pinch of salt and mix it. Then, take it out into a bowl and put aside.

6. Now, prepare a wok of water and heat it up. When it is boiled, add in the kolok mee.

7. Stir well the kolok mee until it is soft.

8. Take out the Kolok Mee (without water) and put it on a plate. Then, add in the fried onion, sufficient Soy sauce and stir it well.

9. Add in some Sarawak Pepper powder and mix it.

10. Finally, put the fried meat on top of it. Dang Dang Dang… It is ready to eat!

See… Isn’t the steps are Easy? It taste better if you add some Vegetable (Sawi) or Cha Siew on it. ( I do not add in bcoz no stock in my fridge )

Chiang Chiang Chiang.. This is my surprise for my parent for today dinner. Besides the main actor tonight –> Kolok Mee, i also cooked Sambal Petai (mum and dad favorite dishes) and Yellow Melon Soup (My Favourite) . This is the first time they try Kolok Mee, because they never been Sarawak before. Luckily, my Kolok Mee give them a good impression. Clap Clap Clap. After 1 week didnt accompany them, I must treat them good good and eat big big. KEKE.

Show off my side dishes 1st… hehe..
